Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of attending a wreath making course at Drewton's Farm Shop (HU15 2AG) .
Priced at £55.00, the course took place from 6pm- 8pm, and included a glass of prosecco and a turkey or falafel sandwich to munch on alongside the class.
The setting was lovely, as were the other course attendants and the instructor. With a huge variety of materials to choose from, it was easy to personalise your wreath to your own individual style and taste. I tried to go with a natural look, using dried fruits alongside the green of the pine.
In terms of the food, I opted for the vegetarian option which was yummy. Although I can't personally attest to the meat option's taste, I did attend the course with a friend, who advised that it was good.
My only criticism would be that the food was served very quickly at the beginning of the night. Rather than eat and then begin the wreath making, the course started whilst the food was still coming out. Probably no big deal to most, but it did make me feel a little rushed trying to eat and stay on top of creating my wreath at the same time!
Overall, I had a lot of fun attending the evening. For anyone thinking of attending something similar, I'd wholeheartedly recommend it. If you're in the East Riding area, I can definitely suggest attending this particular class if it's on again next year.
I'm really pleased with the final results of the wreath I created (pictures above). I opted to go for a simple over the door hanger hook, so that once the festive season is over it can just come off again with no lasting damage to the front door. For anyone interested, I've also popped a link below for the hanger.
